More About Us
Our Home
Our home is in a newly built subdivision near great schools and parks. We have a large fenced backyard where our 2 dogs, Maggie and Daisy, love to run and chase tennis balls (and the frogs in our small pond!). We also have a garden with many types of flowers and vegetables and can’t wait to show our child how to harvest veggies for dinner. Our neighborhood is full of young children, and we are always the most decorated house on the block during Halloween and Christmas. Our subdivision is located near two large state parks, and the Ohio River, where on summer weekends we often go boating, and we are excited to show our child the fun of being on the water!
Our Family
Most of our family lives here in southern Indiana and Kentucky, but we also have family in Illinois and Florida. We love to have big dinners with all of our family and friends, go camping, vacation, and celebrate Holidays with them. We both have young nephews and nieces and we are excited for our child to join in the family fun! Trips to camp, visit, and attend local festivals are frequent. We are all close and form a strong network of love and support. Our families are thrilled about our decision to adopt, and can’t wait to be role models for our child, and, of course, do their fair share of spoiling!
For Fun
We love to travel and explore the world! On summer and fall weekends, we often hike, camp and take our boat out. We enjoy doing anything outdoors, learning new hobbies, reading, watching movies, spending time with family, exercising, working on home improvements, and spoiling our dogs. We can’t wait to do all of these things with our child, including traveling and exposing him or her to new cultures, places, and environments. We spend countless nights talking about all of the “firsts” we hope to have the privilege of witnessing!
